Map Package Content
Every map product archive consists of a set of raster and vector files. The raster files are delivered as JPEG/PNG files. All raster maps are geo-referenced and come with world- (*.jgw/*.pngw) and projection-files (*.prj) to make it easy for you to work with raster maps in ArcGIS or QGIS. The vector maps come in different formats, namely AI and PDF. Each map package is also zipped with a meta-file which provides detailed information about the map, e.g. data sources, layers, fonts, features and projection.
Please inspect the meta-file which is part of every map bundle to understand which data sources have been used. Attribution is required for GeoNames and OpenStreetMap. For maps that include OpenStreetMap data you will have to comply with OpenStreetMap terms of use. Please place the following attribution (on the map or an appropriate place, depending on the type of the medium): "Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors" which will comply with parts of the map which is made available under the ODbL license. For maps using GeoNames data please add the following or similar attribution "Map data © GeoNames licensed under CC BY 4.0".
Before you open any raster file, you need to copy the content of georef directory to the root directory of your map package. In other words, you need to have *.jpg, *.jgw, *.pngw and *.prj files located in the same directory.
This information can be found in the product description in the shop or in a *.meta file of the purchased map product.

Yes, you can. However, any change of text size or style might lead to ambiguities between neighboring labels or even to a broken relationship between labels and geographic features they annotate. If manual adjustment of displaced labels is not feasible by you, please contact us and we will do it for you.
