Free & Discounted Maps

Our free and discounted maps can be downloaded and used commercially with a nonrestrictive Creative Commons License (CC-BY 4.0). If you are planning to use these maps in any kind of product you will have to add an attribution which states where they come from. An example could look like this:

Note, Standard and Extended licenses permit you to use the purchased maps in one project only. For use in multiple projects, additional licenses may be required.

Mandatory Attribution

Our maps use exclusively open data sources and some of which require you to follow their attribution requirements when you distribute our maps, free or premium. Below we provide more details and examples for proper attribution.

OpenStreetMap

OpenStreetMap® is open data, licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF). It is required to use the following credit:

SRTMGL1

NASA Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) datasets provided by the LP DAAC requires any author using this product in their work to credit the data, and any assistance provided by the LP DAAC, in the data section of the paper, the acknowledgement section, and/or as a reference. The recommended citation is:

Prohibited Uses


  • share, distribute, publish or otherwise exploit the Stock Maps for resale, license or other distribution in an electronic format;

  • sub-license, re-sell, rent, lend, assign, gift or otherwise transfer or distribute the Stock Maps or the rights granted under these terms;

  • use any of the Stock Maps as part of a trade-mark, design-mark, trade-name, business name, service mark, or logo;

  • use Stock Maps in a manner that competes with our business including, but not limited to, displaying Stock Maps in any format (including thumbnails) for download or Export on a website or offering Stock Maps for sale;

  • use the Stock Maps for editorial purposes without including the following credit adjacent to the Stock Maps or in audio/visual production credits: '© Boundless Maps';

  • include the Stock Maps in any product or service that allows to extract or access or reproduce the Stock Maps as an electronic file;

  • falsely represent, expressly or impliedly, that the Stock Maps were created by any other person, or an entity other than the copyright holder of the Stock Maps.
