License Options

To keep it easy and simple for you we offer 2 different kinds of licenses for both our free and premium maps.

General Use

You are allowed to use the maps purchased from both for commercial and non-commercial projects, e.g. in books, magazines, websites (as non-editable graphics) or packaging material. Please be aware that you are not allowed to resell our maps as stock art in any format or media or publish them on a website in an editable vector graphics format (this holds for our premium and free maps). You are also not allowed to distribute our map in an editable vector graphics format to 3rd parties, either for profit or for free. More information can be found in our terms and conditions.

Free Maps

Our free maps can be downloaded and used commercially with a nonrestrictive Creative Commons License (CC-BY 4.0). If you are planning to use these maps in any kind of product you will have to add an attribution which states where they come from. An example could look like this:

Premium Maps

Our premium maps come with a royalty-free license which means you do not have to pay royalties or license fees for each use, per each copy or volume sold or some time period of use or sales.

Mandatory Attribution

Note, that our maps use exclusively open data sources and some of which require you to follow their attribution requirements when you distribute our maps, free or premium. Below we provide more details and examples for proper attribution.
